Unique designs

We at BadFishPosters.com do not simply make posters, we create wall decoration at its finest. We offer only a small choice of selected fine and unique quality designs that are fully handcrafted. You won’t be able to find our posters somewhere else!

Made in Sweden

Swedes love their coffee breaks, meatballs, squeeze food out of toothpaste tubes and outdoor activities. Okay, maybe not all of them. But many. Winters are cold and dark and may be rough, but you’ll be rewarded during summer with  long hours of daylight. Sweden is also renown for producing great pop bands and singers, including ABBA, The Cardigans, Ace of Base, Europe and The Hives. Designers and artists receive world wide recognition and are well respected.

All BadFish posters are proudly created and manufactured in the upper north of Sweden. We’re a part of it.

High quality prints

Our designs are printed on selected high quality paper. We use high quality pigment ink which is smudge and water resistant. All BadFishPosters.com prints are vibrant in colours and in deep blacks with crisp and dense lines. And they last very long.

Colours in print

We strive for a high degree of image accuracy. However, in some cases, the colours of the prints may slightly differ from the colours on your monitor, due to colour shift from RGB to CMYK.

RGB – Red, Green, Blue are primary colours of light, which computers use to display images on a screen.

CMYK – Cyan, Magenta, Yellow, Black are primary colours of pigment, which are used in the printing process.

Multiple sizes

Should it be square, horizontal or do you prefer a vertical format? We have almost every size available. Find the size that fits your wall. No question about the style, we have it all.

All our poster sizes are in centimeters.
If you prefer inches instead, please consult the length converter examples to your right.

Framing

Luckily do our posters not come with frames (they wouldn’t fit into the cardboard tubes).

The Art prints shown with a frame or poster hangers in our shop are for visualization purposes only.
We recommend to frame your poster or to hang it with special poster hanging rail sets either in aluminium or plastic (PVC).

All our products are designed to fit in almost every regular frame that you can easily find in the world’s famous Swedish do-it-yourself furniture store or in any other framing store close to you.

We leave it up to you whether you would like to frame your poster or not and if you would prefer framing it with or without a passe-partout.

Packaging

No worries about that.
Your BadFish poster is rolled and carefully packed in a durable cardboard tube to make its journey safer.

We recommend

If your poster is exposed to UV light, we recommend to frame it with UV filtering glass or acrylic. Another benefit to choosing UV filtering glass is that many reflections are often removed by this material, providing a better viewing experience.

Tips & Tricks

How to handle your BadFish poster with care

Now that you just have become the lucky owner of a cool BadFish poster and are eagerly holding the cardboard tube in your hands, please hold on for a second, before you unpack it or your good poster could be wounded forever, just because of poor handling.

For any cool poster, condition equals personal value. The better the condition, the higher the value. This is especially true with a BadFish poster. Here are our recommendations for the proper unpacking and handling of your newly arrived product.

First, you’ll need the right supplies. You need cotton gloves, to avoid finger marks on the poster. If you don’t have gloves by hand, make sure that your hands are clean and dry, and remain so throughout the handling process.

You need a cutter to carefully cut the transparent tape of the two paper strips (with a BadFishPosters logo on it) securing the rolled poster at each end.

And finally, you will need a clean table to unroll the poster.

Safe unpacking of your poster

First remove the plastic lock of the cardboard tube at one end only! Then take the poster carefully out. Be cautious while cutting the transparent tape of the two securing paper strips.

Remove the protection (silk or tissue paper) while still holding the poster with one hand to avoid unintentional unravelling.

Unroll the poster very carefully and leave it for a few hours on the table so that it can flatten. You can flip the poster later on to help flatten it by its own weight. When it’s a large format poster, you have to do this very carefully, because of the size, the corners could get bent, or the poster could fold and take damage. You may ask a friend to assist you.

How to frame your BadFish poster

There are a variety of framing options available including purchasing pre-fabricated frames, ordering custom frames, or for do-it-yourselfers: purchasing frame borders that need to be cut and assembled at home. We recommend UV filtering glass or acrylic protectors that shield the poster from the elements and are also part of the framing options that you should think about when making your framing purchases.

Adding your poster to a pre-fabricated frame

Place the frame face down on a table and open the fasteners of the backing and remove it. Take out the glass or protector and clean both sides before continuing framing. Position the poster face down on top of the glass or acrylic protector, and add the backing of the frame. Check the front of the frame to make sure the poster is centered correctly, and then secure the protector, the poster, and backing down with the fasteners included in the frame. Done. That was easy.

Finally, attaching the wire

Most frames come with a metal wire to be attached on the backside for hanging the poster frame onto the wall. To do so, measure about one-thirds down from the top of the frame and attach D-rings on both sides of the back of the frame to hold the wire for hanging. Finally, cut the wire with pincers to one and one-half the length of the horizontal measurement of the frame. Wrap the wire around the D-rings with needle-nose pliers, leaving enough slack in the middle so that the picture can hang comfortably. Great, you did it.
