The consigliere and the godfather…
Organised crime has been around ever since the start of civilisation. In the structure of the ‘Cosa Nostra’ – the Mafia, the Consigliere is the number three person in a crime family, after the boss and underboss in most cases. His advice is most valuable to the boss.

Inspired by the epic movie trilogy ‘The Godfather’ by Francis Ford Coppola, the artist illustrated the word Consigliere in bold white letters. They are controlled from above using strings, alluding to the 1972 movie title The Godfather. He also put the phonetics [:kônsélye-re] for all those who are not so fluent in Italian. So thoughtful of him! Various mixed vector techniques and grunge have been used to give the artwork a cool vintage look.
