The future is history

In 1996, an unknown and lethal virus wiped out most of the human population on the planet. By 2035 only 1% of the population survived and is forced to live underground. James Cole, a convict, volunteers to be sent back in time to 1996 to gather information about that deadly, man-made virus. Because it is believed that the devastating plague has been released by the Army of the Twelve Monkeys. Unfortunately Cole is mistakenly sent to 1990, gets arrested, declared insane and hospitalized in a mental institution. The crimson red artwork shows eleven monkeys gathering around a circle and one single monkey in the center on top of a big number 12. The text in the circle describes the mental state of James Cole.

Inspired by the 1995 science-fiction time-travel movie Twelve Monkeys by Terry Gilliam.
Quote: Oh, wouldn’t it be great if I was crazy? Then the world would be okay. – James Cole

Twelve Monkeys Poster | A few more details

This great Twelve Monkeys poster is printed on a coated satin paper with a high degree of opacity. The texture, feel and appearance of the paper is smooth and boasts a scratch resistant coating which produces robust high edition print material. Because of the coated quality paper, the ink does not get absorbed by the paper fibres and stays on top. This gives the artwork brighter colours and the paper a somewhat soft shiny finish. The artist’s signature is discreetly shown on the Twelve Monkeys poster. The subtitle on the bottom of the poster reads: No animals were harmed in the making of this artwork. Perfect for living rooms, student rooms, workplaces and more. Comes without a frame and ships safely rolled in a durable cardboard tube.

Made in the Year of the Red Monkey in Sweden.
